Join Athlete360 Performance Youth Physical Development Camps (YPDC) for intensive physical development days to help you unlock your sporting potential through holistic, research based, age appropriate & fun speed, agility, strength and power training.

Over the last 7 years we have worked with 100s + of youth athletes and one common trend we see is the lack of proper physical development programs put together for young children, specifically a lack of appropriate speed & agility training and lack of education about how to develop physical attributes that are important for sports safely and efficiently.

The goal of the camps is to help to solve this problem by delivering research and experience based speed, agility, strength and injury prevention sessions that are safe, fun & appropriate for young athletes as well as beneficial for their growing bodies and sporting performance.

Big Myths of Youth Physical Development

  • You can't improve your speed - it's all genetic. This couldn't be any further from the truth. Yes, genetics play a big role in the amount of fast and slow twitch muscle fibres a person has, however sprinting and agility are skills, therefore it can be improved by training them on a regular basis. Everyone can become fastER and MORE agile.

  • Lifting weights will stunt child's growth. Another misleading statement taken in the wrong context from different research articles. In fact, research has proven that and appropriately designed resistance program with the focus to develop strength and explosive power will actually benefit child's growth by strengthening bones, joints and muscles as well as positively influencing sporting performance.

  • Lifting weights will add unnecessary body mass and make my child slower. This is true if program is focused on building muscle mass and aimed at developing bodybuilders. Our goal is to develop athleticism and sports performance, so the program is specifically designed to improve strength and power to aid sports performance.
